Morocco - Chefchaouen 4 day Street Photography Workshop

+ More details

Chefchaouen is famous for being known as the "blue city" and is located in the North of Morocco. This town offers great opportunities for stunning street photography. It is in this beautiful town that I am organising my next photo workshop in January.

The Chefchaouen Photography Workshop is ideal for beginners, intermediate and professional Photographers.
These workshops are organised according to the knowledge and interest of the person. If you are a beginner in photography, you will learn how to use your camera in manual mode controlling the ISO, shutter speed and aperture. If you are a professional or have already experience in street Photography, you will improve your skills as to how to approach people and therefore overcome your fears, you will also learn how to capture the daily life of the people in Chefchaouen.

This workshop lasts 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel where we will be staying is "Lina Ryad & Spa", located in the middle of the old Medina of Chefchaouen. The price for the 3 nights at the hotel is about 420 Euros for a single room. If the hotel is booked up we will be staying in another similar hotel.

TIME:1st day | We will meet in our hotel in Chefchaouen. Welcome drinks and after our check- in at the hotel, there will be an introduction session about our program, it will include:
• EXPOSITION using manual mode on Street photography. (optional, depends on people skill)
• WHAT to look for when shooting on the streets?
• COMPOSITION on street photography #1
We will have dinner at the Hotel.

2nd day | We will have an early breakfast to be ready for going out at 8 am. We will be back at our hotel for lunch. In the afternoon we will have another session including:
• COMPOSITION on street photography #2
• PORTRAITS, how to approach people in Chefchaouen to take portraits of them.
We will be back on the streets around 3:30pm with the main goal to make portraits. Diner at 8pm at Cafe Clock.

3rd day | We will have an early breakfast to be ready for going out at 8 am. We will have lunch in one of the restaurants at the main square of the medina. The idea is to continue shooting quickly after lunch. Dinner at our hotel.

4th day | Free time in the morning after breakfast to explore by your self the medina. After lunch we will have a time of photo presentation. Farewell dinner.

  • I can highly recommend the photo trip with FV. He is a great photographer and knows the medina of Marrakech very well. My goal was to make portraits of people - and it worked. I couldn't have taken those pictures without FV. He was an incredible help and was able to connect to so many people. Anytime again, thank you FV!
