Why should I book through clik-trip?

After 12 years listening to customer feedback, Suzanne understands customer’s needs. clik-trip recruits on the quality and uniqueness of the photographers work and the reviews speak for themselves.  We charge a minimal fee to the photographers to provide you with an invaluable and unbiased research tool.

What do clik-trip offer that other sites don’t?

clik-trip puts you in touch with local photographers or photographers with local knowledge, giving you unequalled access to people and areas, within the limits of time. We offer an unprecedented variety of photographers, by geography and genre, all over the world.  All our photographers have been recommended by someone looking for similar things to you and you can book using our online advance payment system, giving you the peace of mind to enjoy your experience to the full.

Do I have to pay to use clik-trip?

There is no charge for customers to use clik-trip and it’s free for photographers to list. The photographers pay a small fee on each booking which is included in the total price you see. This fee goes into maintaining clik-trip and providing them with a revenue stream and marketing channel. If you find a photographer on clik-trip, please make sure you book them on clik-trip.

But can’t I find it cheaper if I book direct to the photographer?

All photographers are contracted to clik-trip and you won’t find it cheaper if you book direct or via another site.

Do I have to pay 100% when I book or can I put down a deposit?

You pay 100% on booking.  However, your payment is held in ‘escrow’ by our trusted third-party payment provider. (Escrow is a financial arrangement where a third party holds and regulates payment of the funds required for two parties involved in a given transaction.) The photographers receive their payment and clik-trip receives the commission once the service has been provided. This way, if either party needs to cancel, the payment is reimbursed according to the photographers terms and conditions.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

When you make a booking, you proceed according to each individual photographer’s terms and conditions.  Please ask to be made aware of their cancellation policy at the time of booking. If for any reason you need to cancel, inform the photographer.  They will then contact us and we will arrange for you to be reimbursed the agreed amount, using your payment held in escrow.

What happens if the photographer cancels my booking?

In the unlikely event that the photographer cancels your booking, clik-trip will reimburse you according to the photographers cancellation policy. Please ask to be made aware of this at the time of booking.

When does the payment get taken from my account?

Once you have chosen an experience and you’re ready to book, you will be directed to the payment page.  A pre-authorisation payment is taken from your payment card and the photographer is sent a request to book. At this point no payment is taken from your card. The pre-authorisation payment is held for up to 72 hours or until the photographer accepts or declines the booking.  If the photographer accepts the booking, the money is taken and held in ‘escrow’. If the photographer declines the booking or doesn’t respond to the request, your pre-authorisation payment will be 100% reimbursed to you with absolutely no charge.  

How do I know that I’ll have the experience that I want?

Not everyone is looking for the same thing in a photo experience. clik-trip aims to provide customers with as much information as possible, presented in a clear and unbiased way.  All the photographers have been invited on a recommendation by someone looking for similar things to you and we have asked them to make their listings as descriptive as possible.  You can find more information about their work on their profile page or via the ‘see photographers work’ button on their listing. Photo Experience or Hire a local Photographer?

Photo experiences are ready made experiences run by photography experts and can be in the form of workshops, walks, safaris, tours.  Detailed information about what is included can be found in each of the listings, Alternatively, you can 'Hire a Photographer' at a daily rate. This can either be to help you improve your photography skills, give you access you wouldn’t otherwise have or to go home with some souvenir photos of you from your trip of a lifetime.  

Can I contact the photographer’s direct if I want more information?

Yes. Feel free to interact with the photographers as much as you need, to be sure that you get the experience that you’re hoping for. You can contact them by clicking on the ‘ask a question’ button on their listing. Please try to keep communication on the clik-trip website. If you do enter into direct communication outside of clik-trip, please inform them that you found them on clik-trip and make the booking via our secure online payment system.

We’re a group of 5 but the listing says maximum four. Can a listing be modified?

Normally, yes. You will need to get in touch with the photographer via the 'ask a question' button on their listing. If the photographer agrees, they will create a new listing with the details adjusted and save it to the 'tailor made' category.  The photographer will then give you a personalised link for you to book and pay.

How do I tailor-make a tour?

Please contact us or the photographer with your requests. Extras such as accommodation, car hire etc can be added to tailor make your experience. We can create unique itineraries, visiting a number of different photographers in the same country or even travelling across several different countries.

I can’t find a photogrpaher in the country that I want to go to.  What can I do?

If you can't find what you're looking for, get in touch.  With our years of experience and connections all around the world, I’m sure we can find you someone.  Just send us your request and we will do the rest...
