Amazon Photography Workshop

+ More details

Travel Photography & Visual Narrative Workshop
After six years of tremendous success, John is thrilled to announce his eighth edition of his iconic Amazonas: Travel Photography and Visual Narrative Workshop, taking place from 4th-9th May 2021. There are plenty of reasons to keep returning to the Amazon every year to lead this workshop. From the stunning locations in the jungle to the most amazing tribes of the Colombian, Peruvian and Brazilian Amazonia, there is always a new perspective, a new documentary series to put together, and always an amazing life experience in this exuberant and lush area of the world.

Moving across the borders of three different Latin American Countries, Colombia, Perú, and Brazil, this workshop has been tailored to allow you to explore different visual languages or bolster and enhance your own mode of looking at the world through the lens. Nevertheless, this workshop will inspire you to take the most stunning photos of nature, wildlife and some of the most interesting Amerindian tribes inhabiting the region. This is a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE that no photography and travel-lovers want to miss.

  • JQ delivered his "Up close and personal: a Photographic Journey in South America, Asia and Africa" to Woking Photographic Society. The images were all terrific and some of the stories behind them quite astonishing, all delivered in a very personable style. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we would love to see more of John's work at some stage in the future.

  • Hi JQ. I really enjoyed your presentation yesterday. Your use of light was superb. I wondered why the presentation suddenly cut off - thought it was maybe my connection. It has happened once before that fb have cut a photo webinar because of “nudity”. Pity they don’t seem to appreciate the difference between art and straight nudity.

  • Impressionante!!! I was just at the point of posting a comment when FB pulled the plug.
Great set of photographs, and great presentation.
I wish you all the best with your tours and hopefully this virus will be under control in the next 12 months and allow us all to continue with our lives.

  • JQ delivers a superb presentation - the photos and his explanation of how and why he took them was excellent but what was extremely impressive was not only the story associated with the image but the way he told that story.

It comes across that he really loves his native country ( Columbia) and you great empathy for the local population and the tribes- people of the Amazon

Absolutely superb, very professional and not to be missed
