Ethiopia -Origin of Mankind- Photography Expedition

+ More details

Description

Join an extraordinary journey through one of Africa’s most fascinating and culturally rich countries. From the mystical rock-hewn churches of Lalibela to the vibrant tribes of the Omo Valley, this expedition offers an intimate encounter with Ethiopia’s living traditions, striking landscapes, and timeless beauty.

Experience the Ethiopian Christmas in Lalibela, one of the most moving religious celebrations in the world — hundreds of pilgrims dressed in white gathering around the ancient churches for prayer, chants, and celebration.

Designed and led by award-winning photographer John Quintero, this exclusive experience combines cultural immersion, expert guidance, and authentic local connections — a journey created for those who seek meaning, depth, and inspiration through travel photography.

  • JQ delivered his "Up close and personal: a Photographic Journey in South America, Asia and Africa" to Woking Photographic Society. The images were all terrific and some of the stories behind them quite astonishing, all delivered in a very personable style. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we would love to see more of John's work at some stage in the future.

  • Hi JQ. I really enjoyed your presentation yesterday. Your use of light was superb. I wondered why the presentation suddenly cut off - thought it was maybe my connection. It has happened once before that fb have cut a photo webinar because of “nudity”. Pity they don’t seem to appreciate the difference between art and straight nudity.

  • Impressionante!!! I was just at the point of posting a comment when FB pulled the plug.
Great set of photographs, and great presentation.
I wish you all the best with your tours and hopefully this virus will be under control in the next 12 months and allow us all to continue with our lives.

  • JQ delivers a superb presentation - the photos and his explanation of how and why he took them was excellent but what was extremely impressive was not only the story associated with the image but the way he told that story.

It comes across that he really loves his native country ( Columbia) and you great empathy for the local population and the tribes- people of the Amazon

Absolutely superb, very professional and not to be missed
