About your local photographer

My passion for photography and travel took me on a journey of discovering my own creative expression.
For me, the creative process is as much part of our inner journey as it is of the outer journey.

Portrait, wildlife, travel and documentary photography are my favourite genres to work in, especially creating awareness of vulnerable cultures and species and using photography as a mindful practice.

I attended photographic courses at Cape Town School of Photography, Miksang Institute for Contemplative Photography in Colorado USA, as well as learned from numerous other photographic masters in fine art, portrait and wildlife photography and over time allowed my intuitive voice to create a style of my own.

I share my passion for photography and travel by leading tailor-made private photographic tours and safaris.
I facilitate photography retreats with "Photography as a healing art" as theme as well as "Sense of Place" exploring and capturing the essence of a place and its people while helping photographers on their creative journeys.
I also do boudoir and portrait portfolios using only natural light and surroundings to express the natural beauty of a person.

My photographs have been nominated, honorable mentioned and selected as finalist artworks in national and international photographic awards, and featured in several international photographic and art publications, like Africa Geographics, PDN Exposure Awards – The Body Collection and Destinations, Travel and Wildlife, The Creative Artist, Inside Artists and Black & White Spider Awards.
