Slovenia - Ljubljana Half Day Photo Tour

+ More details

Description

Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city, is one of the hidden gems of Europe. The city’s rich history, beautiful architecture, green surroundings, and friendly people astounds more visitors every year. The streets of Ljubljana are filled with cafes, bars, and restaurants where visitors can explore the cuisine of the country and meet the locals.

I am a Getty Images photographer for many years, mainly for news and editorial contents and I love to share my passion for photography, with interesting photographic workshops of discoveries!
I will show you the real Ljubljana while taking all the necessary time to improve your photography skills and to bring home wonderful long-lasting memories.

During my Ljubljana Photographic Walk, I will point out details invisible to the untrained eye and reveal the best vantage-points on our chosen route, as only a local will be able to do. Learn to tell a story through images, take great shots of iconic monuments and capture atmospheric images off the beaten track.

SOME TRIPADVISOR REVIEWS ABOUT MY TOUR

I had done in the past another photography workshop with Marco so I knew what to expect. The problem was that this time was even better.
It was a superb experience and a delight to discover parts of Ljubljana I would have never discovered and at the same time to improve the usage and knowledge of my trusted Leica camera. The first time Marco helped me (finally) to understand the camera this time I have improved the usage and knowledge to master the beast!

Highlight of my holiday
Was not easy to get Marco in Ljubljana and this is my only complain. He is a very well known photo journalist and has a busy schedule around the world. Then one day I got an email from him saying he would have spent September in Ljubljana!
I booked an evening and an early morning photo tour with Marco in Ljubljana and can honestly say both were the highlight of a very special holiday.. Not only have I come back with some stunning images, which I would never have achieved on my own, but I learned so much. I consider myself to be a fairly experienced photographer, but Marco took my out of my comfort zone and got me thinking about different compositions, exploring the capabilities of my camera in depth, using lenses to their best effects. I also came back with lots of knowledge about the history of Slovenia. We visited both the tourist spots but also the areas away from the tourist areas. I opted to do a 6:00am am start and I am so glad I did, to be one of the only people around town and was a very special moment, with beautiful light and wonderful photography opportunities, which I will never forget but won't have to because I have the photos to prove it! On the second day we went to take pictures of wild bears in a forest about 1h drive from the capital.Simply Amazing, I will never forget.

  • Marco gave us a very interesting and entertaining talk, and a real insight into the working life of a professional news photographer with a top agency. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!

  • It was very interesting to hear about the day of a news photographer in London and MS certainly got some great shots in what must sometimes be crowded and fast moving situations. I really enjoyed his work from Slovenia and other Eastern European countries. Would make me want to visit! The only downside was the live stream did freeze a lot and I had to keep reloading the page. I am on a very fast fibre connection so maybe it was to do with where Marco was streaming from?
