16: Nov 4th 2021: Finding the Abstract. Landscape & Nature in Tenerife

+ More details

Description

I am Irish by birth and have been living here in Tenerife since 1994. I've been a professional photographer for over 30 years, starting my career in London, where I studied photojournalism at the London College of Printing in the 1980's. Over these years I've done portraits, events and reportage for many editorial clients. Moving to Tenerife I was enthralled by the rugged volcanic landscape which led me down the road of landscape photography and the discovery of a new and different view of the land and nature which I love to explore and share with fellow photographers.

In this talk Phil covers: Creating abstraction by removing colour. Using differential focus to isolate elements in the landscape. Looking at Shapes, Textures, Patterns & Colours. Seeing Abstraction in plants. A look at a hidden Tenerife away from the tourist traps.
