Before you Go - Colombia

+ More details

Description

I’m a Colombian photographer currently based in London. I travel several months to Colombia every year, leading photography expeditions.

If you are a travel or documentary photographer, or you simply want to capture great memories of a wonderful country, I can give you all the details you need, from helping you to create your itinerary, tailored just for you and according to your project or ideas.

I can advise you on what to bring, the best time to go and what equipment would be ideal. I will talk to you about vaccinations, money, accommodation, routes and of course, everything you need to know related to photography in the country.

Colombia, as anywhere else in the world, has its dangers and hustles. Knowing where not to go or what not to do is crucial.

As a travel photographer myself, I know how important is to talk to someone local who can offer non-biased information about a particular place. I guarantee my honest advice will save you time, money and help you to plan the best trip to Colombia, from your arrival to your departure, and of course, even if you are not a photographer!

If travelling alone is not ideal for you, perhaps you would like to join one of my photography expeditions where we explore from the Amazon jungle to the pristine beaches of the Caribe, documenting the diversity and friendly people of this treasure of South America. if so, the price of your consultation will be deducted from the price of the tour.

  • JQ delivered his "Up close and personal: a Photographic Journey in South America, Asia and Africa" to Woking Photographic Society. The images were all terrific and some of the stories behind them quite astonishing, all delivered in a very personable style. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we would love to see more of John's work at some stage in the future.

  • Hi JQ. I really enjoyed your presentation yesterday. Your use of light was superb. I wondered why the presentation suddenly cut off - thought it was maybe my connection. It has happened once before that fb have cut a photo webinar because of “nudity”. Pity they don’t seem to appreciate the difference between art and straight nudity.

  • Impressionante!!! I was just at the point of posting a comment when FB pulled the plug.
Great set of photographs, and great presentation.
I wish you all the best with your tours and hopefully this virus will be under control in the next 12 months and allow us all to continue with our lives.

  • JQ delivers a superb presentation - the photos and his explanation of how and why he took them was excellent but what was extremely impressive was not only the story associated with the image but the way he told that story.

It comes across that he really loves his native country ( Columbia) and you great empathy for the local population and the tribes- people of the Amazon

Absolutely superb, very professional and not to be missed
