About your local photographer

Documenting culture is my lifelong mission as a journalism photographer, filmmaker, scholar and writer. I am based in China and have worked as curator for magazine Travel in Tibet. My knowledge of Tibet deepened when I did photographic and written research about Tibetan Bon Belief, resulting in the book "Langyi Inheritance".
Not only have I been to Tibet more than 20 times, but I have also travelled intensively both as a (non-)photographic team leader and a curious traveller around the world, documenting prestigious arts and humanities. In 2006 I was the executive leader for China-India Culture Exchange Program "Retrace Xuanzang's Foot Step to the West", and later wrote and produced the documentary for CCTV and best magazine in China.
In 2010, I worked as a team leader and photographer and travelled from Inner Mongolia, Mongolia to the far east in Russia, in search of the little known tea route among China, Mongolia and Russia.
The same year I started working with Goethe-Institute in search of city heritage and took thousands of related photos.
As a team leader, I took scholars, travellers and photographers to Europe touring major art museums in 2012. In the summer of 2015, I covered 69 cities and towns in German, documenting European history and arts, later in 2017 touring ancient villages in the U.K...
Besides travelling and documenting the world,I also dig into Chinese ancient architecture. I'm now doing extensive research and hopefully get marvellous results both in photography and books.
Please note that I don't speak English, but I have long experience working with translators. There will be a experienced translator accompanying us on the tour.
