Tigers are one of the most beautiful and charismatic
species we have left on this planet, and a world without tigers would indeed be a much duller place. To view and photograph a wild tiger, in its natural habitat is an exciting and life changing experience. The jewel-like eyes, the painterly stripes and the rich orange and black colouration, all contribute to a unique and unchallenged presence in the natural world, ensuring a surreal encounter.
We will be travelling to TADOBA
ANDHARI TIGER RESERVE. The reserve is located in the state of Maharashtra, central India - a two to three hour drive from the nearest city Nagpur. Officially declared a Project tiger reserve in 1995, it is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest National Park. With an area of 677 square kilometres, nearly the exact same size as my hometown, Birmingham - UK.
My goal for the tour is for my clients to have the best photographic opportunities to view and photograph the wildlife. By staying in a single reserve, we can
maximise the number of game drives and understand the tiger’s movement better, rather than reserve hop and lose valuable time.
The focus of the tour will be the great Bengal Tiger, and I have identified several individuals and territories for ample opportunities. The tour isn't limited to tigers only and there will be opportunities for photographing other species, as well as local village walks.
