From Buddha to Blade Runner

+ More details

Description

Japan has a rich history of Buddhism and as such has some beautiful Buddhist temples that are found throughout the country. But Japan is also known for its amazing cityscapes in places such as Osaka and Tokyo. Tokyo helped inspire some of the backdrops for the film Blade Runner so it seems only apt to present the two converging and intermingled "cityscapes" of Buddhism and modern. Julian will take you through the planning of the trips as well as how he captured the old and new style of architecture.

  • An excellent and informative talk about what is still a very remote part of the world. Well illustrated with extraordinary photos of the eagle hunters. I learned a lot in an hour.
