I am an Azerbaijani photographer, and for over 15 years, I’ve been on a deeply personal journey—traveling through the remote villages and forgotten paths of Azerbaijan. With my camera in hand, I’ve captured more than just images. I’ve preserved stories—of shepherds in the mountains, grandmothers baking bread in ancient clay ovens, children running freely through fields, and elders sharing tales passed down through generations.

Beyond the human soul, my lens has also been drawn to the silent witnesses of our past—centuries-old monuments and historical sites that rest quietly in the hills and valleys. In many villages, I’ve documented stone churches, mosques, caravanserais, and fortresses dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries—many of which are hidden gems even most locals have never seen.
