THIS TALK IS NOW COMPLETED. Ernest Porter is available for private bookings. Please contact him for available dates..
Kgalagadi meaning "place of thirst", is a large wildlife preserve and conservation area straddling the border between South Africa and Botswana. It comprises the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa and Gemsbok National Park in Botswana and is characterized by red dunes and dry rivers with migrating herds of wildebeest and springbok, plus predators like raptors and black-maned Kalahari lions...

Ernest is a professional photography guide and has been leading and planning wildlife and bird photographic safaris since 2016. He is extremely passionate about nature, from a tiny jumping spider to a bull elephant and loves photography. He would say that birds in flight is one of his strong points.

In this talk, Ernest will cover the key points:
What makes the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park a photographers paradise and where is it located.
Photographing mammals in Kgalagadi and what to expect
Photographing birds in Kgalagadi and what to expect

The talk will have a focus on action photography and Ernest will share some tips and skills on how to maximize your chances of capturing sharp photos when it comes to photographing fast moving subjects.
